As a partner at Bell Oaks, Cynthia Moreland brings extensive leadership experience, with more than two decades of nonprofit expertise.
A native of Washington, D.C., she has been Executive Director of three place-based nonprofits and one educational foundation in Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
Cynthia has built and retained leadership teams throughout her career. Armed with extensive knowledge of the key attributes needed for dynamic leadership, she offers specific, practical insights and experience drawn from a variety of settings.
Cynthia joined Bell Oaks in 2026. Cynthia has partnered with clients to conduct CEO searches for place-based, federated, and global nonprofits, philanthropic foundations, and C-Suite roles in the public sector. She successfully partners with hiring managers and nonprofit boards to identify leaders who will help organizations and agencies achieve their aspirational goals. She works strategically with clients from the launch of the search through effective onboarding.
Cynthia has a B.A. in Political Science from Antioch College. Cynthia and her husband are the parents of three daughters.
